An outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic directly affected persons with disabilities in many aspects of their lives. Living through the pandemic has not only showed a reverse impact on persons with disabilities but also highlighted the significance of mainstreaming disability perspectives in general policies and guidance to ensure leaving no one behind.
Hence, KDF organized the side event with the North-East Asian disability communities to share the difficulties faced by persons with disabilities and contribution made by the disability communities to alleviate the situation caused by the crisis and to implement the disability-inclusive responses around the North-East Asian region so that stimulate further cooperation and alliance.
